Follow our simple step by step guide for great results.
1. Clean & Dry
Before applying concealers, clean the area of skin you wish to cover with warm soapy water and dry. If the area needs moisturising first then add a little over the area making sure it is well absorbed before applying the product. This can help with the overall finished result, as dry flaky skin will not absorb the concealers evenly and may leave a patchy finish
2. Apply the Neutralising Concealer.
If the veins or blemishes you are covering are a very strong colour you should use the neutralising base concealers to block out or neutralise the colour as much as possible before applying the skin match concealers.
There are 2 neutralising concealers – Apricot and Ivory. Try both colours on the area to see which hides the colour best. It’s different for every skin tone.
Use the spatula to place a little concealer on the palm or back of your hand to soften the texture and make it easier to apply. Take a small amount of the neutralising concealer onto the concealer brush and apply over the area using small strokes. If you are covering veins, for example, cover only along the area of the vein. Add layers until the colour of the vein is disguised.
Finish this stage by taking some powder onto the powder puff and rolling it across the covered area. The rolling effect will help cover the area without smudging the concealer. Brush off excess powder.
3. Finishing Colours
Our Light or Medium stacks of three concealers contain high colour pigments for long lasting coverage. Apply the finishing colours to achieve a good match to your skin tone. If you are applying to your legs stand up and look in a mirror to judge the effect as looking down on your leg distorts the colour.
Play around with the colours or mix them to get the best result.
As in step 2 use the spatula to place a little of your chosen colour onto the palm or back of your hand to soften the product and make it easier to apply.
Take small amounts of the colour onto the concealer brush and apply over the area using small strokes. Add layers until you are satisfied with the coverage and colour match to your skin.
To achieve a natural finish blend the edges carefully with the skin around it.
You may want to powder between each few layers of concealer but the amount of powder depends on your skin type and the colour of the blemish you are hiding. Experiment with the right balance of concealer and powder.
You can use a finishing spray at this point to help give an even longer lasting finish.
4. Apply the Body Foundation to give a consistent skin tone.
Squeeze a small amount of the foundation onto the sponge provided and apply evenly over the covered area and surrounding area to give a consistent finish.
As this will be a slightly different tone to your skin, but a tone you want to achieve, you may want to cover other areas. If you have covered veins on a leg for example you will probably want to apply foundation to both legs. If your blemishes are limited to above or below the knee you can cover just that section.
Dust off the excess with the powder brush.
