I have a health and beauty shop in Lincolnshire, do you wholesale your tatto removal makeup as I would be interested in offering this in my shop as I already do tattoo removal and often get request to remove tattoos by brides to be etc. who havent left enough time to remove them.

    Dear Lesley,
We don’t currently retail our product, but that’s not to say we wouldn’t sell Tattoo Secret within the right retail partner. Can you send me more info about your shop and roughly how many kits you are thinking you would order?

    Many thanks,

    Jemma

If you want to apply false tan with this product, would you have to apply the false tan before or after you use this product?

  9. jemmak
    Posted December 7, 2010 at 5:49 am | Permalink

    Dear Bernadette,
You should use this product after you have applied your fake tan, as it will needs to be applied on top of this colour in order for you to get a good skin match. I think you need to make sure the fake tan is properly dry, i would apply the fake tan a day or so before you use the tattoo kit, that way the fake tan is properly set on the skin and you have had a shower to wash off any fake tan residue. Then apply the base colours to neutralise the tattoo’s colour, powder after this application, once happy with the base coat (and your tattoo is well covered – this will look pale, but that’s how you cover underneath the next layer) then apply your top skin colour creams. Play around in getting the closest match to your skin, you may need to add a few layers, depends on how intense the tattoo is underneath. Once you are happy with the skin match then finish off with a good layer of finishing powder. I hope it all goes well. Let me know if you need more help.

    Thanks,

    Jemma

hi – I’m really interested in trying your product, but before I buy, I was wondering what the difference is in the content of the ordinary camouflage kit and the wedding kit? Many thanks, sarah

    Hi sarah,

Thanks for your interest in our camouflage products. At present if you order the Wdding Kit you will recieve both the light and medium finishing colours whereas you select which skin tone you are for the Camouflage kits.
The Camouflage kits come in a purpose designed box with photographic instructions for use and the wedding kit comes in a cosmetic bag with non photographic instructions.

I hope that helps you decide.

    All the best,

    janice, tattoo secret

    Hi Tara,

Thanks for your query. One tattoo kit will definitely be enough for two small Tattoos including practice in advance of your big day. I would suggest that you order one kit, say light, and order the stack of medium colours as an additional order. The stacks of finishing colours are great as concealers anyway so you will always get use out of them.

    Hope that helps,

    Janice, Director Tattoo Secret.

    Hi Claire,

Thank you for your interest in our Tattoo Camouflage Kits. It is always really important that you feel confident on your wedding day so we will help you with the coverage of your tattoos right as much as possible.

We have experience of covering “sleeve style” tattoos on arms and I can say the results are very good. If you use the creams and the powder as recommended you will get a good smudge resistant coverage. I would suggest that re applying powder a few times through the day (or evening) will help to maintain the smudge resistance of the make up.

The best way forward is definitely to practise your coverage to get the coverage right and to re assure yourself.

We can recommend Camouflage experts so if you can tell me where you live we would be delighted to recommend someone to help you.

If you able to travel to London and would be happy for us to use photographs of your tattoos being covered and give us feedback to use in our publicity we would be happy to pay for the Camouflage expert and product.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Janice King, Director, Tattoo Secret.

Hi I get married June 2011 and have a large lion on my chest. As much as I love it would prefer not to see it with my wedding dress. I have looked at a lot of products and I am confused as to which one works. Also I am worried that the product will go onto my White wedding dress. Could you advise me please. Thank you. Julieanne

Hi julienne, our product will not transfer easily onto your dress as long as you apply it correctly and seal the colour with the finishing powder. The kit is very easy to use and has step by step instructions. Please let me know how you got on with covering your tattoo.

    Many thanks,

    Jemma

Hi Jackie, yes our product will cover freckles. It covers just about everything. Remembr to powder well before you put your dress on – that way it won’t transfer and will last the whole day. Top tip from makeup artist on freckles, is that you may need to draw, with eyeliner, some of them back on and then powder, as this will look more natural.

Let me know how you get on. Good luck with everything.

    Hi there

I am wanting to cover my tattoos up for my sisters wedding, I have a band on my arm and a large one in the centre of my shoulder blades running half way down my back. I was just wondering which of the tattoo kits would be the best for me and how much coverage does each kit do??

    Thanks Becky

    Posted September 12, 2011 at 10:02 am | Permalink

Hi Becky, thanks for your email. Our kits go quite a long way. I have a dragon on my hip which is about 20 cm in length and I have easily covered it with using not very much of the camouflage cream, as a lot goes a long way. The kit will cover my tattoo i think about 5 times. The trick is warming the cream first on the back of your hand and then layering, as it spreads better. I think you may bettr with the box as you can pack it and bring it with you on your big day. The bag and the box both have the same contents in, it’s just the outer packaging that’s different ( a soft bag or a sliding box). It’s really down to what you would prefer. I could send you a full leaflet with instructions for you to look at or you can download it from the instruction section on the website.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Jemma

Hi Gemma, thank you for emailing. We have lots of brides and bridesmaids using our products. product haves have been created with the help of a camouflage expert and therefore the texture and colours we have created are very realistic and natural to the skin. You need to choose your skin group; either light or medium kits and then we’ve done the hard work for you by putting everything you need in a kit. This is what makes us different, our kits have been hand selected with the right colours and neutralisers to hide your tattoo and achieve the best result possible. Our instructions can be downloaded on the site under application and pictures. This should give you more information on our products. Are you tattoos large and do they have a lot of colour in them? Send me pictures and perhaps I can give you some advice on covering them?

    Hope that helps.

Hi, im going on a cruise where i will have to wear ball gowns, i have a tatoo on my upper back between my shoulder blades and dont think this will be acceptable! What colour would you recomend for a quite fair skinned person that will tan whilst on holiday in the caribbean? many thanks

  32. jemmak
    Posted November 23, 2011 at 8:25 am | Permalink

hi Charlotte, i think you are best going for Fair skin colours as there are 3 colours in there which will give you a range of options. Why don’t you get a fair kit and have a play around with it and if you find you need a slightly darker colour you can always purchase the 3 colours as an individual stack.
Let me know how you get on.

I have tattoos on both my upper arms and have had endured 15 laser removal tattoo sessions (which have been not only extremely costly but unbelievably painful) and have now been told that no more can be done as the ink must be too deep and further treatments will not remove any more ink but will only cause damage to my skin.

Therefore, I am now in the position where I have ”half on half off” tattoos which cause even more attention as people tend to wonder what on earth the marks on my arms are (i.e. bruises or broken veins).

Both are quite bluey in colour and one, in particular, is still quite large and visible. I avoid wearing sleeveless garments as I cannot stand the look of them. I did contemplate getting them covered up with other tattoos but that seems to be defeating the point as I just want rid of them, especially where they are located. I have tried other cosmetics in the past but they did not manage to camouflage them. I would be very grateful for any advice you may have on your products.

    Kind regards,

    Karen Robertson

Is tattoo makeup good for coverage of under eye dark circles and veins? Would it be too severe for that delicate area?
    T

  35. jemmak
    Posted December 28, 2011 at 10:40 am | Permalink

Hi Tessa, yes you can use our product in your eye areas, the product needs to be warmed well on the back if your hand and then dabbed on gentle. Rather than drag the product across the eye area, dab gently and the product will be cover well. I prefer to use my fingers than a sponge. This product is great on veins aswell. If they are in the face, dab gently as above. I use them on veins around the edge of my nose and it covers really well. I have fair skin and use the light set of 3 colours. I have used it on veins on my legs aswell and you can be a bit tougher on these areas. Please note that if your skin is very dry, you need to moisturise the area well to get a good finish. I find mositurise the area a good half an hour before you want to apply to the area, that way it is well soaked in and won’t mix with the product on top.
    I hope that helps,
    Jemma

Hi Karen, I’m sorry you have had so many issues with laser. I’ve heard a lot about the “pain” without much gain from other people. I think our product is quite thick and provides good coverage. Yes, there’s a bit of playing around with colours etc, but I have 2 tattoos and have managed to cover both well. I do need some help with the one on my lower back, so maybe enlisting the help of someone’s if it’s on your upper arm. Colour match and finishing with a light dust of powder is the best advice I can give you. I’m quite fair, so the light colours work well on me. Have a go and let us know how you get on with one of our kits.

Hope that’s of help, let me know if you have any other questions,

    Jemma

    Q. I'm going to be a bridesmaid and I've just tried on the beautiful sleeveless dress I'll be wearing. The problem is, I have a tattoo that i'd really like to hide. Can you suggest a cheap - and painless - way to do this?
    Lyndsey Buckler, Walsall, West Midlands

    A. I have a solution that doesn't involve laser treatment or having to spend hundreds of pounds. Tattoo Secret, £25, is an effective three-step camouflage make-up system that will do a great cover-up job on your tattoo. Use it on the big day and you'll look stunning in that dress.
